Brazos High School junior Kasey Zientek has accomplished an incredible feat by winning the 3A 220lb division at the State Texas High School Powerlifting (THSPA & THSWPA) competition. Kasey not only won his division, but he also set personal records (PRs) in all three lifts, including an impressive 650lb squat, 455lb bench, and 605lb deadlift, resulting in a total weight of 1710lbs.

Winning a state championship in powerlifting is a remarkable accomplishment, and it is a testament to the dedication, hard work, and discipline required to compete at this level. To PR in all three lifts is an even more remarkable achievement, and it demonstrates Kasey’s exceptional strength and skill as a powerlifter.

What makes Kasey’s win even more remarkable is the fact that he is a junior in high school. This achievement sets high expectations for him going into his senior year, and it is an indication that he has a bright future in the sport. It is also a testament to the support and guidance provided by his coaches and the community, who have helped him to reach his full potential as a powerlifter.

The sport of powerlifting requires immense physical and mental strength, and it is not for the faint of heart. Competitors must have the dedication and discipline to train tirelessly and push themselves to their limits. To win a state championship, let alone set PRs in all three lifts, requires an exceptional level of skill, focus, and perseverance.

Kasey’s achievement is not only a personal triumph but also a source of pride for the Brazos High School community. It is a reminder that hard work, discipline, and dedication can lead to incredible success, both in sports and in life. We congratulate Kasey on his win and wish him all the best as he continues to pursue his goals in powerlifting and beyond.
