Sealy Tiger Men’s Powerlifting Dominates at Waller Bulldog Meet, Claims Team Championship

The Sealy Tiger Men’s Powerlifting team had a strong showing at the Waller Bulldog meet, taking home the title of 1st Place Team Champion.

In the 114 lb class, Maurice Wigfall took 1st place with a total lift of 650 lbs, while Jackson Blanks placed 2nd with a total of 620 lbs.

Cayde Novosad dominated the 132 lb class, taking 1st place with a total of 965 lbs.

Jeremiah Metzgar also secured a 1st place victory in the 148 lb class, with a total lift of 1275 lbs.

In the 165 lb class, Rolando Cerda placed 2nd with a total of 865 lbs, and Hunter Sodolak placed 3rd with 860 lbs.

Seth Pine took 1st place in the 181 lb class with a total of 1070 lbs, and Juan Casas placed 2nd with 1065 lbs. Cooper Osborne also competed in this class and placed 5th with a total of 880 lbs.

The 198 lb class saw Eric Torres take 2nd place with a total of 1115 lbs, Kane Stone place 4th with 1060 lbs, and Jose Espinoza place 5th with 965 lbs.

Alex Mendez placed 2nd in the 220 lb class with a total of 1315 lbs.

In the 275 lb class, Erik Sanchez placed 4th with 970 lbs, and the 308 lb class was won by Daniel Barrera with a total of 1105 lbs, Ivan Garcia placed 2nd with a total of 955 lbs.

Overall, it was a successful meet for the Sealy Tiger Men’s Powerlifting team, with several individual weight class victories and a team championship. The team is looking forward to building on this momentum and continuing to improve in the coming competitions.
