The Bellville Brahma girls’ varsity volleyball team displayed their dominance on Tuesday night as they topped the Schulenburg Shorthorns in a non-conference match with a score of 3-0.
The first set kicked off with high energy as both teams battled for early dominance. Schulenburg managed to keep pace, but the Brahma girls’ coordinated attacks and solid defense allowed them to secure the early lead.
Set two saw the Brahmas capitalizing on their momentum, pulling ahead of the Shorthorns. They showcased their finesse in spiking, setting, and serving, leaving Schulenburg with no room to catch up. Bellville clinched the set 25-15.
With a two-set advantage, the Bellville Brahma girls entered the third set with determination to complete the sweep. Schulenburg, however, put up a valiant fight, refusing to go down without a struggle. Despite their best efforts, the Shorthorns couldn’t overcome Bellville’s strong offensive and defensive plays. The Brahmas closed out the match with a 25-17 win in the third set, securing a resounding 3-0 victory.
